Description

The Mining Qualifications Authority (MQA), a SETA under the Department of Higher Education and Training, is offering a two-year internship within its Stakeholder Relations Unit. The internship provides exposure to skills development processes in the mining and minerals sector, including Workplace Skills Plans (WSPs), Annual Training Reports (ATRs), Skills Development Facilitator (SDF) registrations, research activities, stakeholder liaison, customer query resolution, report writing, presentations, and general administration.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Workplace Skills Plans (WSPs) and Annual Training Reports (ATRs) submission process
  • Assist with Skills Development Facilitator (SDF) and organisation registration processes
  • Conduct primary and secondary research to support projects and reports
  • Liaise with MQA stakeholders and resolve customer queries

Qualifications

  • Minimum: National Diploma in Social Sciences, Commerce or Human Resources with Economics and/or Statistics or equivalent qualification at (NQF Level 6)
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Commerce or Human Resources with Economics and/or Statistics; or equivalent qualification at (NQF Level 7) will be an added advantage
